Curious Monkey are committed to being an anti-racist organisation and to contribute to the inclusion of under-represented people in the arts sector. We are part of North East Culture Against Racism - a collective of artists and organisations in the North East whose vision is to create an anti-racism culture through change that involves cohesive participation, action and accountability.

Curious Monkey is currently part of a working group with a collective of artists running ‘Creative Pals’, where five artists from global majority backgrounds are paired up with another artist, working together to support creative development and networking. The aims of each pair is bespoke to the artists involved. This pilot project will be evaluated in June 2022. The project started as an action from a Culture Against Racism Town Hall meeting.
